Raw, nutritious goodness!
A fantastic source of beneficial bacteria that can help keep your gut and body healthy. Raw milk contains all of its natural enzymes, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals — making it what many refer to as a “complete food.”

Meet the dairy queens!

We're picky...Yes, I said it, picky about where our milk comes from and the flavor it has. So, if you're like we are, you want to know that you are caring for those you love in the very best of ways!

You may have noticed that you can’t find raw milk on the shelves of your local grocery store. Raw milk, though habitually consumed for thousands of years across the world, is kind of a rare thing in our current US culture. There are many interesting reasons for this and a variety of reasons the stuff in the store isn’t so great. But we aren't going to get into all of that.

What we are going to talk about are the resources you'll find below to help you understand why we are grateful to work with nature to supply and enjoy raw milk that is unprocessed, whole, *soon to be TESTED*, and living, with all of its probiotic bacteria. NEVER pasteurized (heated), homogenized (crushed), or otherwise altered. It's the real deal, the way God intended.

We adore our sweet Dairy Queen's and we're sure you'll love their milk, too!

Raw milk is unprocessed and complete with bioavailable vitamins, minerals, enzymes, beneficial bacteria, naturally occurring CLA and omega-3 fatty acids. Those with lactose sensitivities have a delicious, nutritious, and natural alternative in this unaltered, wholesome product. But before you take our word for it, read on and see what the research says.

Straight from the cow, to be filtered and chilled until picked up.

UNPROCESSED
Raw milk has natural occurring CLA, Omega 3 fatty acids, gut friendly bacteria, bio-available vitamins, minerals, enzymes, calcium, protein, antibodies, amino acids, heart healthy cholesterol, and much more! With our raw milk, these healthy nutrients are never damaged or altered with heat or other methods; therefore, our bodies enjoy their maximum benefit. We like to believe that it's always better as God intended. :)

SUPER AWESOME PROBIOTIC
Over 70% of your immune system depends on a healthy gut. Raw milk is a fantastic source of beneficial bacteria that can help keep your gut and body healthy. These special bacterias help with milk digestion, absorb nutrients, boost your immune system, and crowd out “unfriendly” organisms that can cause illness. At the end of the day, you're body is thanking you for working with it and not against it!

EASILY DIGESTIBLE
The many gut-friendly bacterias and enzymes found in raw milk help with milk digestion and the over all health of your gut. Because we do not pasteurize our milk, these bacteria are never damaged. This is one reason why people who cannot drink pasteurized milk CAN drink  raw milk without discomfort. All milk starts out raw!
**there is always an exception to the rule, but 99.8% of the time, everyone can drink raw milk**

NUTRITIOUS, RAW FAT CREAM-LINE
Jersey cows are known for their superior butter-fat and sweet tasting milk. *Yum!*
We chose Jerseys for these qualities as well as their personality, friendlies, and spunk that keep us entertained.

Raw milk...it's where it's at!

So what is raw milk?

NO PROCESSING =
NO LACTOSE INTOLERANCE

One of the leading questions being asked is, “does raw milk cause lactose intolerance?” If you are among the many who face sensitivity to processed milk, like stomach cramps, bloating, discomfort, and other commonly noted symptoms so many experience when they consume processed, store bought milk, possibly raw milk will be a solution for you. Raw milk does not cause digestive discomfort or milk “negative digestive reactions”. Basically, it's simple. It's basic yet so complexly made - and just as God intended it to be. When someone drinks raw milk… they are able to enjoy it! This being said by a "once upon a time, no milk drinker!"

WHY RAW MILK DOES NOT CAUSE LACTOSE INTOLERANCE, NATURALLY

Many people can’t tolerate processed, pasteurized milk because they’re unable to digest the damaged lactose, a sugar found in processed milk and dairy products.

Sadly, lactose intolerance affects around 65% of the world’s population (Source). It's very likely that you personally know someone who is affected by this very condition. Maybe it's yourself, or someone close to you, or an acquaintance - regardless, it's no fun.

Is it safe?

When you take all things into account, the human body is very resilient. Look at the amount of highly processed foods we eat on the daily - our body will more than likely “put up with it” all it can before it starts “falling apart” and sending signals that we need to change how we are eating.

These signals being disease and discomfort - in many forms. Possibly a skin issue or an upset stomach, regardless, our bodies are asking for our attention.

When you feed your body processed, denatured food it will react and often it reacts in ways we don't want.

Think of it as a young child asking for attention. After awhile of the attention not being given, it will begin to grow louder and louder until you can no longer ignore it.

These are some of the very issues that caused our family to seek healthier alternatives in our daily living. Raw milk, essential oils, and other alternatives are how we found our solutions. Maybe you will too. ;)

The nutritional profile of whole raw milk is impressive. After all, it’s designed to fully nourish newborn young. So here is why. We do what is called "calf sharing" - We milk once a day while our milk cows get to still have their calf. It's easier on us when living our day to day lives and it also gives our momma cows the ability to still love and nature their young just as nature intended. While sharing we know that our calves are getting the absolute best and so are we.

One serving of raw milk contains about 400 milligrams of calcium, 50 milligrams of magnesium and 500 milligrams of potassium (Source).

As mentioned above raw milk is an excellent source of bio-available vitamins and minerals, including “nutrients of concern,” which are under-consumed by many populations today.

It provides bio-available calcium, which is lacking in many diets (Source).

Raw milk is also a good source of vitamin A and iron.

Additionally, it’s an excellent source of protein and contains hundreds of different fatty acids, including conjugated linoleic acid (CLA) and omega-3s (Source).

Conjugated linoleic acid and omega-3 fatty acids are linked to many health benefits, including a reduced risk of diabetes and heart disease (Source, Source, Source, Source).

Raw milk from cows that eat mostly grass contains significantly higher amounts of conjugated linoleic acid and omega-3 fatty acids (Source).

Studies now suggest that children who drink raw milk are 50 percent less likely to develop allergies and 41 percent less likely to develop asthma compared to children who don’t (Source).

A study published in the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology involved 8,000 children with various diets, and one of the conclusions that researchers made was that by drinking raw milk, children experienced “naturally immunizing” effects (Source).

Our Dairy Queen's are fed a grain ration to insure optimal vitamins and other needed essentials are being met for our milk cow's while also providing grazing year round and hay cut from our farm for feeding during the winter months. Why is this so important? Because this means that our grass-fed cow’s raw milk contains higher amounts of beneficial antioxidants, such as vitamin E and beta-carotene, which help reduce inflammation and fight oxidative stress.

Woot, woot for healthy, happy bodies!

The human gut is simple

Can you drink raw milk daily?

Raw milk is one of the easiest foods to digest. Your body knows exactly how to digest it and use it quickly (similar to essential oils!). When you drink unprocessed, raw milk your body will thrive with the nutrients you are giving it. Raw milk is a complete food that will give your body the much-needed vital nutrition it needs to become and stay strong and healthy. Enzymes, probiotics, healthy fats, proteins, vitamins, and calcium are just some of the noted essential nutrients found in whole raw milk.

Now, this is all research I have done and personal experience. If raw milk is something you're learning about; I highly encourage you to do your own research and see what raw milk could do for you and your family in your own lives. This is coming from someone who used to never like drinking milk! ;)
